Are You a Hypocrite?

According to Wikipedia.org

" Hypocrisy (or the state of being a hypocrite) is the act of preaching a certain belief, religion or way of life, but not, in fact, holding these same virtues oneself."

I've been giving this quite a bit of thought lately and sometimes feel that I have joined the club. For instance, I spend a lot of time promoting healthy lifestyles. I have several blogs and social networks that I belong to and try to spend time every day with both reading and posting tips for staying healthy.

With that said, sometimes I find myself slipping and doing the occasional healthy "no-no". For instance I might indulge in some chocolate or eat an additional serving of food even though my hunger has ended. I often wonder why I do such things and since I do, perhaps I am indeed a hypocrite. I guess in a way I am, however that does not mean one should not continue to strive to improve oneself. Some of the common areas that I personally struggle are:

There are techniques that I use to deal with each of these situations that have helped me to some extent. Ive found that these techniques have proven the most useful.

Where am I going with this? Well I think perhaps most of us are really Hypocrites in some sense. It is not a matter of black and white but more of shades of gray. My ongoing goals and objective is to continue to drive my shade to become less of a hippocrite. I strive, hope and pray that every day is just that much better than the previous day. If someone calls me a hippocrite, I will try not to take offense realizing that we all are imperfect and hopefully it will push me to accellerate my quest.

If you also strive to improve your health, whether a hippocrate or not. I invite you to join my quest on our new social network HealthEWorld. I recently created this network for like minded people that have a similar quest to improve their health and lifesytle.

HealthEWorld may be interpreted as:

I hope you find this article useful and invite your feedback. It is my sincere desire that we all help each other, as imperfect as we all are to achieve maximum spiritual, mental and physical health.
